Weekly Shopping

Okay ya'll, I had my binder in hand, my list included, and all my coupons filed in their respective pockets.  I even took Hannah and Kali shopping with me.  :)  This is just my normal weekly shopping.  I do not go to the grocery store every day, every other day, or every 3rd day.  I go once a week unless we find outselves out of toilet paper.  Seriously.  If we're out of something else, that's just too darn bad.  We also have somewhere to go tomorrow and lucky me, I get to bring the veggie and cheese tray.  Here's what I did at Publix; I'll give you the breakdown, too - it's a long one.....

Spent - $88.86
Saved - $64.46

GO ME!

Here's what I got:

1 - Magazine
2 - Lender's Cinnamon Raisin Bagels
2 - Honey Nut Cream Cheese (Hannah's favorite!)
2 - English Muffins
2 - Bunches of Broccoli
1 - Bag of Green Grapes
1 - Dozen Brown Free Range Eggs
1 - Earth Balance Butter
2 - Sorrento Mozzarella Cheese
1 - Turkey Bacon
2 - Containers of Grape Tomatoes
3 - Clorox Bowl Cleaner
1 - Publix OJ
2 - Nabisco Wheat Thins
2 - Bags of Baby Carrots
1 - Pepper Jack Cheese
1 - Quaker Chocolate Rice Cakes
4 - Del Monte Petite Diced Tomatoes
2 - Cucumbers
5 - Sweet Potatoes
6 - A1 Sauce.  Yes, 6.  Hey, they were all free after coupons, so why not!
1 - Bag of Celery
2 - Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 - Bag of Great Northern Beans
1 - Bag of Brown Lentils
1 - Medium Cheddar Cheese
1 - Colby Cheese
2 - jars of Motts Applesauce
2 - 1/2 Gallons of Almond Milk
1 - 1/2 Gallon of Organic Whole Milk
1 - Kraft Ranch Dressing
1 - Kraft Creamy Italian Dressing
2 - 8pks of Juice Boxes

I also went to our local produce guy today and spent $7.50 on green beans, onions, oranges, and green onions.

What?  No meat on my shopping trip?!  A) I have some ground turkey, some chicken, and a whole turkey here.  B) Who needs meat every night?  Seriously.  I don't shop just for stuff I need for the week.  I'd spend more money that way.  But if I buy what's on sale, combined with my coupons, eventually I stock up on stuff and don't need to buy it when we "need" it.  Plus, I made 99% of everything from scratch and that saves money, too.  Prepackaged foods are expensive and just not good for you.  Ever read the list of ingredients on prepackaged foods?  Do it.  You'd be surprised.  Wonder why pediatricians say that kids have ADD/ADHD/XYZ?  It's what they're eating.  But that's a whole 'nother story - don't get me started.

I have some pictures to put up later on.  I'll try to get to it tonight, or by Sunday at the latest.  :)
